Is there a disadvantage to going through recruitment as an upperclassmen?

Absolutely not! We encourage anyone who is interested in recruitment to go through the process. We have had multiple transfer students, sophomores, juniors and even seniors as new members!

Will Delta Zeta get in the way of school?

As Delta Zeta Women, we are constantly striving for excellence. School is always number one priority and being involved in college should not effect your academics. In Delta Zeta, we have a wide range of majors from nursing and chemistry to business and education. We offer programs to help hold our sisters accountable and to celebrate their accomplishments.

  • Study groups and tutoring sessions

  • Study Hours
  • An Academics Chair who oversees all academic programs in order to help our new members and actives.
  • An Academic Ceremony to celebrate those who made Dean's List and President's List

ARe delta zeta'S involved on campus?

Yes of course! Our chapter has 100% involvement on campus! Meaning all of our sisters are involved in at least one other organization on campus outside of Delta Zeta. We have sisters in who are Jack Walkers, Orientation Leaders and who are involved with organizations within their majors! Outside of DZ, some of our sisters are even officers in their organizations!

Is it mandatory to live in the house?

Every Delta Zeta gets the opportunity to move into the sorority house as early as their second semester in DZ, per SFA housing policy, and can remain in residence until graduation. Each member is required to live in the house until it is full. During your time at the Delta Zeta Dream House, you will grow closer and closer to your sisters!

Living in the house includes:

  • Movie nights

  • Study dates

  • Endless laughter

  • Forever memories

  • Fresh-cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Are Service animals allowed in the house?

Absolutely! A member must submit the proper documentation to National Housing Corporation (NHC) in order for the animals to live in the room with them. The member must communicate with their roommate and the House Director. If there are any members with allergies, arrangements will be made.

Does Delta Zeta Haze?

Absolutely not, Delta Zeta has a zero tolerance policy for hazing within our chapter and within our Nationals. Delta Zeta recognizes that hazing can have very serious and negative long-term effects on members, because of this our Nationals upholds a strict, anti-hazing policy. Here at Zeta Psi, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming place for our sisters to feel at home and comfortable. We want our sisters to feel nothing but love every time they walk through the doors.

What events do you hold throughout the year?

We host a ton of events throughout the year in order to grow our sisterhood and connect with other chapters on campus.

  • Sisterhoods: These are events hosted by our Sisterhood Chair and centered around bonding. Only Delta Zetas are in attendance for these events so this allows us to grow closer and get to know each other, especially the new members.

  • Socials: These are events hosted by our Social Chair and they allow us to meet people in other chapters on campus! We host two formals a year, we plan themed socials with other chapters at least once a month during the school year, and we host Grab-a-Dates that allow our sisters to bring a guest of their choosing, whether that be a date, roommate, or a friend!

  • Philanthropy Events: Our Vice President of Philanthropy plans and hosts themed events to solely raise money for Starkey Hearing Foundation and the American Society for Deaf Children. During the spring semester, all the money we raise goes to Starkey and during the fall, it goes to ASDC. For more information on our philanthropy, please visit our philanthropy tab!
